Keep Michigan Wolves Protected is collecting signatures to put a referendum on the ballot to protect Michigan's wolves from senseless trophy hunting. Last year, our campaign collected more than 255,000 signatures to put the wolf hunt on the ballot. But politicians then passed another measure taking the power to determine game species out of the hands of the people and nullifying our vote on wolves.
The campaign launched a second referendum drive to preserve the impact of our first referendum -- ensuring Michigan voters have the right to cast their vote to protect wolves, and other wildlife and conservation issues in the future. We need to collect 225,000 signatures to put the new referendum on the ballot and protect the voice of the people. And to get there we're going to need your help.
